LIL WAYNE FORMALLY CHARGED WITH FELONY CHARGES
According to The Richmond-Times Dispatch, Wayne muddled through performances of “I’m a D-Boy ” and “Duffle Bag Boy,” before walking off the stage. Some frustrated fans began to leave the venue when the artist finally returned with new energy and an apology for his erratic behavior.
“I just flew in 10 minutes ago. I just had to deal with a whole lot of bulls**t today, but I guess you know that,” Lil Wayne reportedly told the crowd. “I want you to know that no one in this building had nothing to do with the attitude I got right now- some sh*t happened today that made me look at life in a different way. I’m pissed off to the highest point right now and trying to get it together for y’all.”
Lil Wayne performed for the next hour and received an enthusiastic response, the paper reported.
Meanwhile, the New Orleans native is due back in Yuma County for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 12. As previously reported, Wayne’s tour bus was flagged by a Border Patrol canine unit that detected the presence of illegal drugs. A search of the bus yielded nearly 4 ounces of marijuana, just over an ounce of cocaine, 41 grams of ecstasy and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
Officials also found a .40-caliber pistol registered to Wayne, who has a concealed weapons permit in Florida.
