Michael Jackson, the self-anointed “King of Pop” who revolutionized music but whose legacy was marred by allegations of child molestation and bizarre behavior, died after suffering cardiac arrest Thursday. He was 50 years old.

The Los Angeles Fire Department was called to Jackson’s residence at 12:26 p.m. P.T., according to the Los Angeles Times. The paper reported that paramedics performed CPR on Jackson, who was not breathing when they arrived at his home. He was rushed to LA Medical Center, just six miles from his home.

Jackson’s death comes less than a month before the start of a scheduled series of so-called comeback concerts. From July 13 to March 6, 2010, Jackson was scheduled to perform 50 sold-out concerts at London’s O2 Arena.

Jackson is survived by his three children, Prince Michael I, Paris and Prince Michael II

Black Wall Street leader The Game recently updated fans on the process of his forthcoming The R.E.D. Album and challenged rappers to a weekly mixtape stand-off this summer. “This summer, it ain’t a n*gga that’s gonna out-mixtape me,” Game said in an interview. “I’m dropping a mixtape every week. It ain’t gonna be like no bullsh*t mixtape sh*t. I’m dropping mixtapes that sound better than people’s albums. The first one is gonna be the Bloody Thumb with the red thumb print on the front.”

Fabolous, Young Jeezy and Mary Mary have been added to the BET Awards ’09 lineup that already includes platinum-selling artists Kanye West, Beyonce, The Dream, Soulja Boy, Ne-Yo, Maxwell and Jay-Z. Queen Latifah, Taraji Henson, Sherri Shepherd, Idris Elba, Paula Patton and Solange Knowles will also make appearances as presenters, the network announced Wednesday. Speaking of the BET Awards, Im hearing there’s a little shade going on. Word is that BET wants LeToya to perform at the awards, but Matthew Knowles is threatening to pull Beyonce from the show if LeToya performs in any aspect.

Now that Kelly Rowland has a new manager — Jeff Rabhan, who also manages Kelis and Michele Branch — she’s sharing more about her split with former manager Matthew Knowles. Rowland tells celebrity columnist Chris Yandek, “I just felt like I wasn’t growing anymore. It took a long time to actually come up with the final decision because it was something that you think about before when you feel like you’re almost hitting a ceiling. I wanted a change. I needed a change.”

R. Kelly is joining the already crowded September release roster — his 14th studio disc is reportedly set to hit stores that month. Originally titled 12 Play: Fourth Quarter, the set will now be called Untitled. The first single is slated to be a re-worked version of the raunchy “Number-One Sex.”

Ray J will sift through another gaggle of women to find one suitable girlfriend as part of VH1′s newly-announced “For The Love of Ray J 2.”

During season one of the reality show, Brandy’s little brother chose Cocktail – but, as expected, the relationship didn’t last.

So again, Ray J will be “looking for women with confidence, personality and class that can handle the pressure of being with a superstar and turn him into a one-woman man.”

Viewers and fans will have until July 10 to submit themselves for consideration at rayjcasting.com.

Meanwhile, Cocktail has made her obligatory comment about the breakup. “The reality of television is that it doesn’t always work. Ray and I are no longer together,” she announced on her MySpace page.

Could auto-tune be the cause of the clash between the King & Queen? Mary J Blige speaks out about Jay Z’s ‘Death of Autotune’ .

MJB spoke to Angie Martinez on Hot 97 says and made it clear that ‘The One’ where Mary uses auto-tune, isn’t indicative of the rest of her upcoming album.

“This whole album I’ve done is Mary,” Blige said Thursday (June 11) as a guest on Angie Martinez’s New York radio show.

Blige said “The One” introduces the world to “Crazy Mary.” “It was for effect,” she said of using Auto-Tune. “I wanted ‘Crazy Mary’ to get her shine on. She couldn’t get her shine with my regular voice. I used the effect. I used it as a telephone effect or reverb.”

Blige said she’s indifferent to the whole Auto-Tune debate in the wake of Jay-Z’s “D.O.A.”

“I won’t say that it bothers me, because people do what they have to do,” she told Martinez. “I can’t pass judgment. Everyone else does what they do, and everyone has their own opinion. To each his own. Do what you do, because I do what I do.

Blige also talked about the now-infamous Internet footage of her stepdaughter punching Charles Hamilton in the jaw. Briana Latrise, who is Hamilton’s ex-girlfriend, punched him in the face during a rap battle when the MC got a little too disrespectful.

“I feel really bad,” said Blige, who questioned why the incident was put on the Net. “It doesn’t make me proud to see her doing things like that.”

Rihanna was in attendance at a private Black Eyed Peas concert the other night in NYC, and as you can see she wasn’t alone.

Im just happy to see Rihanna smiling a little bit. Usually she mean mugging. Drake looks like something…but i can’t put my finger on it. But when I do-it’s not gonna be nice.
