I’ve always been a fan of the homey Trey Songz, and each time he never dissapoints-whether its music or a photo shoot.

Trey recently took it old school for his shoot with Complex Magazine.

In the Trey Songz: In The Key of Life article, Complex magazine says that with the photoshoot, “Trey Songz takes it back to the era of bop and blues, when record labels were as perfectly dressed-down as their artists.”

Artistic freedom or lack of respect for the law?

Erykah Badu’s new video for ‘Window Seat’ is getting all sorts of attention-good and bad. Even though for an artist, any publicity is good publicity-Erykah’s latest attemp may cause her some legal problems.

According to NBC affiliate, Dallas KXAS, police in Texas are investigating whether to charge the singer with indecent exposure for her “Window Seat” video. Badu shot the video in Dallas at Dealey Plaza where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.

The misdemeanor carries a maximum fine of $4,000 and up to one year in jail.

Badu is continuing to defend her video and recently took to her Twitter to say,

“I expected the gossip blog sites to spin it negatively . i expected people to ride with me. I’ve been punished AND rewarded enough times by love and life to dedicate the whole thing to EVOLVING . i am happy.”

She later added,

“One cant oppose #groupthink , its a part of human nature , but only recognize his/her position in the thing and redefine his/herself.”

I was being sneaky, and I was to sneak this out the studio…Its a brand new Paula Campbell record called, Just A Man! I thought “Denial” was a dope record, but after hearing ‘Just A Man’…this record is crazy!!!!

Just A Man is off Paula’s new album, Rebellious Romantic, dropping later this year.

Nicki Minaj first single “Massive Attack” from her forthcoming album just hit the net, the joint features songwriter Sean Garrett on the hook. Nicki will premiere the video this week on 106 & Park.

As much as ya’ll all want Beyonce to be pregnant with Jay-Z‘s little jigga man, Beyonce Knowles‘ publicist from her record company Sony, tells Rolling Stone today that the report is simply “untrue.”

Monica went back home to celebrate the release of her fifth studio album “Still Standing.” It’s reported that the ATL songstress album will enter next weeks billboard charts at number 2, selling somewhere around 165-200K. Monica comes second to twitter trendy topic Justin Bieber. Congrats Mo!

In attendence were rapper/producer Missy Elliott, who produced Monica’s first single “Everything To Me,” Bryan Michael Cox, Frankie (Keyshia Cole’s mother,) and Ricky Smiley.
