PostHeaderIcon Lloyd Comes Clean About Telling Chris Brown To Cry

It’s been so many speculations about Chris Brown’s MJ tribute from this past Sunday at the BET Awards. Some artist feel that it was genuine, others feel that it was a publicity stunt. (Even Omarion’s mom said Breezy wasn’t good enough to perform for Michael. In return, #teambreezy went in on her, causing her to delete her Twitter. Why is she on Twitter anyway?)

Lloyd was subsequently quoted as saying he had advised Brown he should cry at the awards show in a bid to publicly demonstrate his remorse for beating ex-girlfriend Rihanna unconscious at the start of last year, in a bid to win over those former fans and journalists and music business types who are yet to forgive him for that incident(CMU).

But Lloyd took to his website yesterday to say he had been misquoted, and that Brown’s tears at the BET show were genuine, not some pre-rehearsed cynical attempt to win renewed public approval from American R&B fans.

Lloyd wrote:

“I never told him to go on stage and cry. We spoke recently, and I told him as a friend that people hadn’t really seen him be vulnerable about his situation last year. I thought he was holding back and needed to let that emotion out. [But] him crying at the BET Awards was real, I could feel it. I think he cried about a number of things. About the fact that he thought people would hate him forever because of one mistake. Feeling that love on stage was probably overwhelming. Plus [Jackson] being gone and him performing ‘Man In The Mirror’, that song is powerful, especially for his situation. It pushed him over the edge.

PostHeaderIcon Eminem Reigns Supreme With ‘Recovery’

They can say that folks don’t buy albums if they want too, but clearly with Eminem’s ‘Recovery’ album damn-near platinum in it’s first week, if you put good music out there, they will buy it.

Billboard is reporting that Eminem‘s Recovery debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling an incredible 741,000 copies in its first week. It’s the biggest first week sales of 2010 and Em’s sixth No. 1 debut. Recovery knocked Drake’s Thank Me Later, to the number 2 spot.

PostHeaderIcon Fabolous…But What About Me???

Looks like Fabolous was a little pissed off about not being invited to perform with DJ Khaled, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, T-Pain, Rick Ross-yea, basicaly everybody else that was on the ‘All I Do Is Win’ remix, at the BET Awards!

Fab took to Twitter (@myfabolouslife) to air out his frustration:

My blackberry & iPhone must be fucked up cuz I definitely didnt get the we doing the “all i do is win remix” email or phone call. #Niceeee. Wouldn’t u feel a way if u lose all 3 awards & they do a song performance with u, without you #meneither

Check out the All I Do Is Win remix video.

PostHeaderIcon 50 Cent Sends Shots, Diddy Fires Right Back, 50 Has The Last Word *Updated*

50 Cent must be working on some new music because this latest diss towards Diddy, it seems to be coming from no where. The sad part is right now, Diddy’s music swag is on point, and 50 you…ummm…ummm..yea!

At a recent concert, 50 Cent had a few choice words for Diddy: “F*ck Puff…tell him I said it”. He also had some advice for his label mate, Tony Yayo, if he don’t drop a hit soon.

Diddy fires back!

I like how Diddy clapped back at 50 Cent without saying his name! Too bad that’s not the end.

50 Cent has responded:

You know what’s interesting, he’s not an artist. An artist would be somebody that actually wrote something, maybe on the record or because we have R&B artists that don’t actually write music, maybe it’s unfair because of the pressures people put on me. Imagine if I just sat around and listened to people’s CDs and say I’m just gonna say the first verse I hear that sounds good.

That would completely take away the pressure and I would still be the artist in front of you with a new song every two minutes because every artist that has a song that would like to make some money off it would send it. It doesn’t make you special.

When will this foolishness stop?!?!

PostHeaderIcon Urban Informer Interviews The Dream!

The Dream’s album Love King is out and in stores TODAY. It features tracks including the Love King remix featuring Ludacris, Makeup Bag featuring T.I., Sex Intelligent, F.I.L.A. also featuring T.I. and more.

During the interview he claims that this is his last album and he’s looking forward to retiring from being a solo artist and continue working behind the scenes producing and writing music and possibly being in a group along with T-Pain. WTF?

If you are looking for hott collaborations, you won’t find it. He only features T.I. on this album. He also talked about his highly controversial remake of Aaliyah’s “One In A Million”. It was not a hit among fans and was better left untouched. The Dream also talks about marriage the second time around to singer Christina Milian.

Check out the interview (in three parts) right here!
