Just hours before she performed for a sold-out crowd at Soundstage, I had a chance to sit down with the Grammy award winning artist about the new album ‘All Of Me, MTV’s ‘Hottest MC’s list, the crazy response that her latest single ‘Thank You’ has gotten, being compared to Mary J Blige, and how the death of Whitney Houston affected her as a singer.

We’ve seen Mariah Carey in the studio over the past couple of weeks. We’ve seen Mimi on television promoting her new figure with Jenny Craig. We’ve even seen Mariah taking care of her sick husband Nick Cannon and #dembabies! Well now we will get to see Mariah do what we have come to love her for, singing!

This Saturday, Mariah will hit the stage for her ‘Plot Your Escape’ concert. The concert will performed across different cities (Los Angeles, New York, New Orleans, Chicago) with performances from Nicki Minaj, Maroon 5 and Cee-Lo Green.

Mariah Carey will be live from New York’s Gotham Hall. Diddy will join her on stage. You can watch the concert streamed live on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

It has been a media circus ever since the death of Whitney Houston was announced. Last week, pictures of the late singer in her casket was posted on the cover of a weekly publication, and days before that, pictures of Houston’s body bag on a gurney being taken out of the hotel, had been published as well. Well, bad news for whomever leaked those pics because the mother of Whitney Houston, Cissy, is coming for you!

After seeing Paula Patton in NYC during Fashion Week, she was put on Preggers watch. It was just a false alarm. As of yet, Robin hasn’t put another bun in the oven.

Beyonce may have slowed down when she was pregnant with Blue Ivy, now that the baby is here Beyonce is ready to get back to work. It’s already been reported that she will release two projects this year. Well, now i’m hearing that it may be a third. What exactlt? Another movie!

Maino’s sophmore album, Day After Tomorrow, is in stores now. Maino hit up The Breakfast Club and Angela Yee, Envy, and Charlamagne gave him the blues. From creeping in Brooklyn with Lil Kim, kissing Olivia, dating Dollicia Bryant, odors, to surviving as an artist, there is nothing that wasn’t touched upon.

Kid Cudi fans flew to shelves today to buy his new album “WZRD” only to find that they have been hood winked. Why? It wasn’t in stores. His label, Universal Republic, only printed 55K copies of his new release for in store purchases.

Mary J Blige was the co-host on The View today. During her time on the show, MJB spoke on her relationship with Whitney Houston and why she went to Houston’s funeral (which she hardly ever attends), the problem with having “yes” people in your corner. She also took the time to speak on her own addiction to drugs and alcohol, and made it very clear that “I’ve never done crack, just so we’re clear.”
