Speaking with Wale on his tour bus, after he just had the crowd rocking for Morgan State University’s Homecoming concert, he knows a thing or two about grind. From his first album, Attention Defecit, only selling 10,000 copies in its first week (went to sell 28,000), to preparing to release ‘Ambition’ with his Maybach Music backing, Wale is definitely in a new space. If he could, Wale would love to just record and perform his music because the interview part of his job is what he dislikes most. Fortunately, he was willing to sit with Urban Informer TV to discuss his upcoming album, his passion, him being labeled the “angry rapper”, and what it was about MMG that he was down to signing with Ross.

Wish lets allllll the glitter flow as she talks about her trip to LA for the VMA’s weekend, her “A-Haa” moments, and she premieres her brand new video ‘Warrior’ for the first time on Television on Urban Informer TV. Baltimore’s newest singing sensation, CJ Hilton is signed to RCA Records. That wasn’t his first label deal though. He was originally signed to Captiol Records, but when labels aren’t sure how to promote an artist, things happen. Through the transition, CJ Hilton has had the time to shine on BET’s ‘Music Matters’ tour, recording to Stevie Wonder, Raphael Saadiq, and more. For the Grammy nominated singer, it all started with him singing in church. Hustle….Hustle….Hustle…..Hard..closed mouths don’t get fed on the boulevard. That’s how I felt trying to get Ace Hood in the studio. Ace was busy running up and down the Eastcoast days prior to his ‘Blood, Sweat and Tears album dropping, so around 10pm we finally got a chance to chop it up. From his life-altering financial problems after his second album dropping, giving me details on his two newborn babies, to even having Ace Hood walk out the studio (which was a first for me), the U.I. cameras caught it all. Get a Sneak Peek of my interview with Ace Hood, but the full episode doesn’t air til August 19th at 8pm on Comcast TV 25 (which happens to be the same day as the Urban Informer TV Launch Party at Eden’s Lounge). So, basically after you watch the show, I’ll see you at the party!

My Urban Informer family always gets it first. Get a Sneak Peek of of the webisode of episode 3 with Mindless Behavior. Those dudes are dope! The kids were screaming their name during their entire show. They gave me all the details about touring with Janet Jackson, how crazy the Justin Beiber fans are, some of their pranks they play on one another on tour, what type of girls they like, and how they are dealing with all the fame. It’s only right that I give my Urban Informer Family a sneak peek of the 3rd episode of Urban Informer TV with Diggy Simmons. This week’s webisode features the son of Hip Hop Royalty, Rev Run. Diggy was in town along with Mindless Behavior, Tyga, Lil Twist, Jawan Harris for the ‘Closer To My Dreams’ tour. After playing kickball with 92Q and the Super Kids camp, Diggy got a chance to chop it up about his debut album, how he isn’t just relying on his family name for his success, his musical influences, and being the youngest to be featured on XXL’s “Freshman Class” cover. I also asked him about what’s up with his brother JoJo. I can’t give you the entire interview now. Some things you just have to wait for the FULL episode to air next week, on Comcast TV 25.

My Urban Informer Family will ALWAYS get the exclusive look at the upcoming Urban Informer TV episode. This week, I went backstage at the 2011 Artscape to sit down with Miguel. It was the elephant in the room, so of course I had to ask him about the situation with Lloyd, how he feels having to defend his sexuality ALL the time, and he gives me the “scoop” on the video for his new single, Quickie. What’s next for Miguel? Who’s he’s in the studio with now on the new album? Well, you’ll have to wait to the FULL episode airs next week on TV 25! I couldn’t give it to you all right. Enjoy!
