PostHeaderIcon First Ratings Drops…Now Sponsors Leave. Is ‘Basketball Wives’ On Its Way Out?

At one point, Vh1′s ‘Basketball Wives’ was everyone’s favorite shows. The Futon Critic reports that at the premiere episode, over 2 million viewers were tuned in. Last week’s episode have only pulled in 1.76 million viewers (12% drop). Is the ‘BBW’ & ‘Eve and Ocho Show’ boycott working? Are folks REALLY getting tired of seeing the women go back & forth with fighting? Possibly! One sure sign to know that folks aren’t happy with the show is when sponsors start to pull their money out of the show.

It is being reported that Summer’s Eve have pulled their advertisement from the show, with other advertisers to happen in the upcoming weeks. With all of the negative talk about the show and celebrities speaking out against the show, things aren’t looking too good. Maybe the movie that Shaunie O’Neal and Tracey Edmonds may not be good move after all?

Do you still watch and support Basketball Wives?

On Friday, Jennifer Williams of Basketball Wives held a press conference to discuss the pending charges against Evelyn’s assistant, Nia, for slapping her on the recent episode of Basketball Wives.

“Violence used against any person is wrong but when a woman hits another woman it sets a horrible example for young girls everywhere. I choose to use the justice system to fight back.

I didn’t watch the video for a long time because I lived it. It’s disturbing. It’s humiliating. I get anxiety just thinking about it. “She hit me with her open hand on my cheek. I’ve never been hit in my life.” (NY Daily News)

Williams claims she is still suffering from a whiplash-like neck injury and post traumatic stress stemming from the slap.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified monetary and punitive damages from Nia Crooks. Vh1, nor any of the other stars of the shows are not named as defendants.

PostHeaderIcon Kenya Bell Says “I Didn’t Want To Hurt Evelyn On National TV”!!!

Everyone’s favorite lunatic, Kenya Bell, is finally getting a time to shine! In an interview with Juicy Magazine, Kenya Bell speaks her love for Jennifer, how she feels about Tami, and why she chose not to fight back with Evelyn when she threw a bottle at her.

Juicy: What was going through your mind when EVELYN threw that bottle at you during dinner?

KB: I’ve been professionally trained to fight thanks to my Dad. I have no fear of any of them and all of their bullying, negativity, and pure haterism. It’s sad that as women, they aren’t supporting my efforts to be independent as a woman and a mother, especially after I spent years helping my husband make it to the NBA and he’s chosen to ruin his life. [The cast] can talk all they want, as long as neither of them put their hands on me, they have nothing to fear.

Juicy: To set the record straight, when it comes to JEN do you adore her the way the girls claim?

KB: Jen has been the only person in the group that has been consistently nice to me and I appreciate that. Because of that, I consider her someone that I can become friends with. It’s soooo sad that they have a “mob” mentality and because Jen refuses to “join the crowd” and hate me like they have decided to do before they even got to know me, all of a sudden they say I idolize her. It’s their way of trying to make Jen not like me. I’m so proud of Jen for being an individual.

Juicy: What are your current thoughts on TAMI?

KB: I’m very surprised to see the footage of Tami talking bad about me behind my back. I still feel that she has a good heart, that’s why she stepped in between Evelyn and I. Because of the supposed “stabbing” that my husband accused me of, I really didn’t want to have to hurt Evelyn on national television, so I appreciated that. But as a fellow mother of two, it’s very disappointing that she was so mean and hurtful knowing she went through the same things I’m going through on the show.
