The King of The South, T.I., has his wings now and can travel more now (even though he is still on probation). The Father, TV personality, Business owner, Rapper, Author recently was in New York for a performance. Before his show, he stopped by The Breakfast Club to speak about his budding label roster, his upcoming album Troubled Man, his family documentary, his other business ventures, and how he is ready to leave the game.

“This is what everyone fails to realize. I want out. I want out, man. What the game is going to and what has evolved into from a personality standpoint, it goes against what I represent. What I embody, this game contradicts that. I want out. I’m in it because I love music and I have obligations, contractually.”

“It was at one time, this music was about speaking to the people who felt like you feel. Now, the people I’m speaking to, they don’t necessarily feel like how I feel. In my day, if you were rapping about something you weren’t really living, that was a strike against you. You were held accountable. Nowadays, nobody even expects you to live up to the things you rap about. That goes against what I represent, what I stand for. So if they outsell me, then that’s just all the more better for me to fade to the back and cross my legs on my desk.”

For years we have heard about the tension between Monica & Brandy stemming from the days of ‘The Boy Is Mine’. As they continue their promo run for their latest single, It All Belongs To Me, they two R&B stars admitted to a fight when they visited Hot 97 with Angie Martinez.

Glad to see now that Monica & Brandy were able to put the past behind them and move to create good music.

Earlier this week, I sat down with Ashanti for the latest interview for Urban Informer Tv! Ashanti was very careful not to give too much details about her upcoming album, BraveHeart! (She even gave me a homework assignment so that I could understand the title). I was determined not to leave anything un-answered so yes, I asked her about her relationship with Nelly, rumors of her signing to YMCMB, her duet with Keyshia Cole, her tribute to Whitney Houston on GMA, launching her own label, and more.

Monica & Brandy continue their promo for their ‘It All Belongs To Me’ video, and their upcoming albums. Clearly, their label is focused on making this song blow! Not leaving anything un-turned, Monica & Brandy spoke on them reuniting, and how Whitney inluenced their lives. Brandy touched on her relationship with Kim K, her ‘Behind The Music’ special, being labeled a “murderer”, and Ray J not being happy with the morning show. Monica shared her thoughts on social media, her stalker, and adapting to haters.

Yesterday, Monica & Brandy stormed ’106 & Park’ to premiere their brand new video, It All Belongs To Me. The two shared how the two re-united after not being able to stay in the same room years ago, the lack of unity in music, and what Whitney meant to each of them.
