Broadcasting live with Ustream

Tonight, begininng at 8pm, the Pre-Show for the 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards is set to air. Jay Z, Kanye West Beyonce, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Miguel, Britney Spears, and Lady Gaga are just some of the names expected to hit the stage tonight. The VMA’s will start immediately right after the Pre-Show. Be sure to watch it all here!

The MTV VMA’s is this weekend in LA, and they are pulling out all the stops to promote the award show. Lil Wayne has done another commercial for the VMA’s where he’s rapping his verse from ‘John’.

Nicki Minaj promises to bring more Roman on her next cd. During a recent interview with MTV, Nicki Minaj gives a little inside scoop on the brand new album.

MTV’s Sway went to the home of Sean Kingston to discuss in detail the jet-ski accident that almost took his life.

Honestly, when I saw the interview that Sway did with Sean Kingston about his accident, I was quick to file it under the “Who Do We Care” draw, but after watch Kingston discuss the severity of his hospitalization, I had a change of heart. No pun!

Last night, the 2011 MTV Movie Awards aired, in which the Harajuku Barbie, Nicki Minaj, was a presenter. From the looks of it, Nicki M had the SUPER BOOBS Super Bass on blast!

June 12th can’t get hear soon enough. Neither can the release date (June 21st) of The Carter IV. But June 12th is the day that MTV will air Lil Wayne’s ‘Unplugged’ set. The Los Angeles Times was on hand to get as Wayne rocked out to some his classic joints as well giving a taste of some songs off the new album.

Lil Wayne is very humbled about his ‘Unplugged’ show with MTV.

“It was humbling just to be a part of. As an artist that’s watched the game as closely as I did, to be on ‘Unplugged’ is a high honor,” Wayne said. “I’ve gotten people that haven’t texted me in a long time, text me today saying congratulations. It is that kind of thing. I felt great about it.”

Lil Wayne is one of rap’s most electric figures, but the Young Money star is ready to unplug. As fans gear up for the release of Weezy’s long-awaited ninth studio album Tha Carter IV, the New Orleans lyricist will appear on “MTV2 Presents: Lil Wayne Unplugged.”

The program, which is set to premiere across MTV2, MTV and MTV.com on Sunday, June 12 at 9 PM ET/PT, will feature Tunechi performing acoustic versions of select hits from his classic catalog.
