Over the past couple of years, rapper Rick Ross and former drug kingpin Freeway Ricky Ross, have been battling in court over the “Rick Ross” alias. Freeway Ricky Ross was trying to claim ownership of the name, but it looks like his request has fallen on deaf ears. No Foxy.

On yesterday, the judge had ruled that “Freeway” Rick has no case, and threw the lawsuit out.

Freeway Ricky Ross told TMZ, “I got hit in the stomach today … I feel s**tty.” Ross adds … “[Rick] had nine high profile attorneys and I had three volunteer non-high profile attorneys. I had no money to get the big name lawyers so I couldn’t go in there with a monster team like him. The world knows the truth … that [Rick] stole my identity and shame on him that he won’t give it back. I hope to appeal this because you shouldn’t be allowed to steal someone’s identity and get away with it.”

SXSW was definitely the place to be to see your favorite artist perform, over the last couple of day. 50 Cent, The Dream & Rick Ross took the stage at the annual concert.

The Dream, who is currently on his ‘Kill The Lights’ tour, stopped in Austin, TX to perform ‘Shawty Is A Ten’, Rocking That Thing, I Luv Your Girl, ROC, and more.

Yesterday morning, a 40-year old man was found dead just inside the gate of Rick Ross’ Miami estate, and it was speculation that he was Rick Ross was being sought after for questioning. At the time, Ross was was not at home.

Detectives have now confirmed with MTV that Rick Ross is not a suspect, nor is he being sought for questioning. Though Ross owns the property, it is not where he resides. “He lives at a different location,” Detective Michael Wright told MTV News.

Rick Ross is known for stealing alot of things- Personas, careers, and now beats according to Bow Wow. During a recent interview with Tim Westwood, Bow Wow announced that he had the beat first when he was in the studio with Meek, and days later, he heard Ross’ ‘Stay Schedmin’!

Each year, MTV does a ‘Hottest MC’s In The Game’ list. The criteria used to be considered for list is “a combination of impact, buzz, sales, lyrics, swag and the intangibles”. Each year, they give more reasons to look at the list sideways.
