First it was Nicki Minaj, but it looks that Bmore’s newest female general is now taking shots at Teairra Mari!

Creating a spoof of Mari’s single “Sponsor” she basically flips the single and shuts down that whole “use a man for his money” idea, coming off like she wants to lead some women empowerment group.(HipHopwired)

I spoke to Keys via Twitter and asked her was she specifically throwing shots at Teairra Mari? She also let folks know that her getting “glammed up” is just a character.

According to The YBF word is R&B singer Teairra Mari is having a hard time getting her single “Sponsor” played on the network.

Apparently a letter has surfaced according to Teairra’s record label Fo’ Reel Entertainment stating that the network wasn’t too fond of the message the song sends to young teenager girls about getting paid for sex/relations with men.

Here is what that letter stated:

I was informed that 106 and Park, a source for African Americans to promote their music, have banned Teairra Mari’s song Sponsor and other projects from surfacing on their channel. No one else will report because they don’t want to put it on blast. I feel bad for the underdogs because they are not given a fair chance and its even worse when your own kind won’t promote you. What’s bad about Sponsor that overshadows any work that Lil Wayne, Ludacris, and many others have showcased on BET? Why is it, do you think, that booty shaking and such is allowed but a video by a woman encouraging others to make it is bad. Why is it that Lil Wayne can perform “Every Girl In the World” with his daughter on stage, but women artists have to be “appropriate”. I understand if they would at least let Teairra come on the show to explain the concept behind the song. It just seems like a shady business where people who have made it have certain control over those that haven’t
through shady connections.

I know people may say “well who checkin’ for…” but what if these people actually had a chance in the business if it wasn’t so shady?

Bow Wow stars in the Ice Cube produced comedy “Lottery Ticket.” Bow Wow plays a character named  Kevin Carson, a young man living in the projects who has to survive a three-day weekend after his opportunistic neighbors find out he’s holding a winning lottery ticket worth $350 million.

The film hits movie theaters on August 20th.

It seems as though Teairra Mari has found her a “Sponsor” after all and his name happens to be Soulja Boy *kanye shrug*..your guess is just about as good as mine. Maybe she doesn’t need much?

“Sponsor” is latest single from Teairra’s second album “At That Point” which is slated to hit stores late spring.
